Insight: Behind my eyelids (another ascension poem)

meditation planter

inbreath when instructing myself to sit and not do

the mind in pictures which flash, fade, emerge

a dog head beelines for my palm and nuzzles bumping cool damp nose bud

palms cupping buzz that tingles

feeling the light prickling where fate line intersects heart and head

waiting for what emerges

what is showing today?

the filmstrip inside my skull splices a never-ending collection of plants

I clearly perceive flowers, leaves of all shapes and colors

they keep coming at me, to me

how do I know them so well?

how do they know me?

in the library that lives in my cellular memory

have I stored and cataloged my interactions with these beings?

Am I a librarian, a botanist, herbalist, healer, a witch?

And why am I so reluctant to remember?

Having loved the plants so long, so well…

has this power brought upon me isolation, demise, misery among men?

remembering is awakening

there is fear, post-traumatic tension with excitement braided in

so many of us with herbs and weeds behind our eyelids

were martyred to human need for certainty, control, designations of good and evil

now insight is returning

as are balance, divinity of female and male

squeezing bitter drops of toxic neediness from each polarization

eager to relax and embrace myself and the plants inside of my eyes

Unmuting our connection to the natural world

Finland14

Dearest readers,

For thousands of years, we, as human beings, have accepted on one level to forget our identities and true abilities. And now, we are living in an unique time, where we are beginning to remember how powerful we once were and can be again. Beginning to know once again that we are sovereign beings and creators. That we don’t need religion, corporations, or governments to control us and to run our lives. That together, we co-create realities with the Universe. We choose to create harmony or disharmony. What we imagine is what we experience.

13643800_836577066475382_1537402115_n

When reading from ancient texts, at least what is given to us to peruse and not hidden away, we see that the peoples of civilizations that no longer exist, and some that still do (the indigenous peoples of Australia, South and Central America, the Native peoples of North America, Greenland, Siberia, parts of Europe, Africa, and Asia) were able to see and interact with beings that we currently are not able to perceive with our 3-D vision. Indigenous peoples of the world have always communicated with fairies, devas, gnomes, trolls, monsters, star people, clouds, volcanoes, trees, crystals, plants, unicorns, and other beings that we have assumed as simply inventions of the imagination.

crystal-cave-615

As we begin to remember, we start to realize that these beings are still very real. They are simply not visible or perceivable from our 3-D density. We need to raise our frequency in order to step up into a different level of reality, shifting our perception to a new reality. Once we step out of the restrictive box in which we have chosen to live, inside of our heads, down into our hearts, the world comes alive again with wonder. We find our own power again when we begin to listen, slow down, and see the true beauty and fantastic nature of reality.

Historiae_animalium_1551_De_Monocerote

The other day, I listened to an interview on YouTube with a man who has devoted his life to crystals, and he described his relationship with his quartz crystals, each of which is unique. He talks to them, asks them questions, listens to them.

angelpsychic

When you understand that everything that we perceive and all that we don’t yet perceive is made up of conscious energy forms and that light, sound, air, and water carry information, then the manner in which you perceive and interact with your reality changes.

IMG_8840

Just as you can interact with stones, rocks, crystals, the Earth as a conscious planet, you can also interact with plants and trees. All human beings possess this latent ability, and some of us have greater stored experiences in these areas than others. Our human languages actually restrict our ability to communicate with the other non-human language speaking entities on and off of our planet. Once you accept that you are able to communicate with animals, plants, rocks, extra-terrestrial beings, and terrestrial beings that you cannot currently see…anything at all, you become more receptive to this possibility.

IMG_9350

Little by little, it becomes easier to talk to non-verbal beings, or beings whose language we have not learned at home or at school. Listening, however, is more challenging. As human beings, we have learned to be very busy. Listening is not our best skill, because it requires patience and is an ability in which multi-tasking is a hindrance rather than a help. After slowing down and asking questions, the next step to communicating with plants, animals, insects, rocks is to be silent and to wait. The answers may not come right away. They may not arrive in the form of words. Pictures, sounds, events, scents, a sense of knowing, or memories may be triggered. By learning to observe your body, your inner sight or intuition, your dreams, and what happens around you outside in the world, you will begin to understand the poetic language of the heart of reality. This is the place where art and science intersect.

human heart sculpture

It is said that the human heart is a portal or gateway to other realms. It is a star gate, just as a spider web or an archway may also be a portal. By becoming more sensitive to our inner worlds as well as to the subtle details of the world around us, as it unfolds to us, moment by moment, we unmute our connection to what we now call the physical world.

kmacdowell heart

You can ask your body, your organs and cellular structure any question for which you seek an answer. Wait for the response, and learn how your body communicates with you. It will be different from person to person. Learn to understand the plants that live inside and outside your house. Get to know them and observe how they change from day to day. Be patient. Slow down. Stay in the moment. Think about what you really would like to know about yourself, about life, your health, the planet, and the nature of reality. The plants, rocks, insects, animals, and the planet have been here for many millions of years, and they have a lot of knowledge and information stored within.

webs

We have ignored the source of so much discovery by muting our connection to our home planet and her inhabitants. In fact, we have muted our connection to our own bodies by isolating ourselves inside our heads and restricting knowledge to information that we have learned from others, not trusting our own intuition and our own ability to interact with the myriads of beings who are our natural family.

Awaken your intuition. Unmute your connection to the planet, and the beginning of a wonderful journey awaits you!

Returning to the Garden

For A&E

Hello dearest readers,

Have you ever had the feeling that something is missing from your life, or that you can’t quite remember just why you are here, living on Earth in the body you now inhabit?

I suspect that most of us who take the slightest amount of time and effort to be reflective and look inward have experienced these sensations of yearning or emptiness.

What is it that we humans have lost and wish to regain? Where did we once live where we felt entirely fulfilled and where our talents and emotions were fully engaged?

Genesis-1

My personal suspicion is that some of the answers to these questions lie in the myth we call “The Garden of Eden” and the story of Adam and Eve. The avatar couple had all of their needs met while living in beautiful Eden. They experienced no shame or guilt, and automatically knew to love themselves without question. All of their needs were met. They did not need to work, nor did they experience suffering in order to learn. There was no karma there, nor was there sickness or death. Adam and Eve were powerful, but there was no power over others, no competition. There was God above them, but God was friendly and always helpful. Not the frightening God of the Old Testament always threatening to kill, erase, plunder, or crush the disobedient.

crumb eden

So what happened? What really happened that reduced the power of the human being and introduced all of us to lack, separation, suffering, death, and judgment of self and others? What took us away from our true human nature, beauty, alignment with the planet, all animals and plants and self? How did we lose our power to be always healthy and even immortal?

Genesis-3-3b

The event that is ascribed to Eve (without permission) eating and sharing the fruit from the Tree of Knowledge is an ambiguous lynch pin. What about the Tree of Life? Why did the serpent (who had legs at the time) want the humans to learn about separation, living in the head, competition, lack, pain, karma, death? Why did the humans choose this experience and abdicate totality, beauty, magic, love, peace, and immortality?

Crumb-Genesis (snake)

I do believe that consciousness is an ever-evolving process, and that in order to be fully conscious, fully grateful, and completely appreciative and aware of the beauty and power that is nature and that is human, perhaps Adam and Eve chose to experience separation from truth and separation from self. According to R. Crumb’s cartoon version of Genesis (see illustrations), God appears jealous and unwilling to give the freedom to Adam and Eve, once conscious of their lot, to choose immortality and god status as co-creators of realities. I don’t agree with his assessment, which poses God as a fiendish, google-eyed, harsh being of judgment and separation, and not an infinitely powerful creator and force of unlimited love.

genesis_021

When we live in our minds (which is what the Tree of Knowledge represents), we give up a way of life that is fully connected, intuitive, and conceptual. We give up living from the heart, and we give up our full gifts and power.  We become susceptible to influence and manipulation. When we give up our own powers and connection to all that is, we can be tricked. The ideas of others and a reality created by others is suddenly more important that our own ability to create realities that please us and make us happy and fulfilled. We give up our own godhood and position as a conscious artist in the Universe.

tree-of-life

I believe that humanity is now experiencing a return to the garden. We are beginning to remember, individually and collectively, what it is to live from the heart. To be reconnected to our intuition, to the planet, to the Universe itself. We have fully experienced what it is to be separate, powerless, vulnerable, victims. Now we are taking our power as well as our personal responsibility back, and it is a very exciting time to be alive.

in the garden

As Gaia tosses much of humanity about in powerful storms and earthquakes, some of us remember that the planet’s consciousness is connected to our own. And we talk to her, give her thanks for her gifts. We ask her to gentle the storms and to work with us to re-create a new way for humans to live compassionately and cooperatively with all of nature. We learn from the outcomes of these terrible earth events to help one another and remember how good it feels to know we are connected and united as one with every other human and animal on the planet.

wood cut birds

As humans hurt and maim one another in wars and terrorist attacks, those who still live fully in separation thrive on fear. Our media continues to feed unquestioning listeners on the pap of fear, and so many gobble it up, not realizing that we each have the power to work together to create the realities we want to experience. More and more people around the world are rejecting war, conflict, violence as conflict resolution. Increasingly, the omnipresence of fear as news will be decreasing. Returning to the garden is a gradual process, but we can speed it up.

witches

The more we are hopeful and positive in our thoughts, choices, and actions, the more quickly we create an atmosphere of positive change. Working with one another instead of against one another is a move back towards the garden. Honoring intuition, art, conceptual thinking is another way of moving humanity closer to our true nature.

red kites and ravens wood cut

Restoring dignity to the feminine, reducing self-judgment and focusing on self-love are other ways to return to Eden. The process has begun, and it cannot be reverted. Humanity has completed the experience of separation, and those who have thrived and profited from what some people call “the service to self” system do whatever they can to prolong our pain and their gains. By refusing to cooperate with an idea that we all live in a single dimension in a single reality, we take back our power. By refusing to constantly react to “news” that presents our collective experience of reality as a fearful one in which we are constantly in need of self-protection from our fellow man and woman, we also empower ourselves.

wood cut flowers

Living from the heart will be very new to many. Most people are completely out of touch with their intuition, and most of us have deeply ingrained habits involving judging self and others and feeling as if we must grasp onto what we have in order to survive. Yet, little by little, we will realize that with the power of our minds and hearts, we can create everything that we all need and desire. Beauty and magic are literally at our fingertips, trembling.

wood cut portrait

I am very excited to be alive right now. Even though turmoil shakes the very core of the worlds of so many, I am breathing in beauty, wisdom, and love as I type these words onto my keyboard. We can choose what we experience. Now and always. I live in the garden now, and every day I explore new places and possibilities within this magical domain. Will you come join me?

My third eye sees plants and flowers: masculine and feminine aspects of insight

DSCN6195.JPG

Dearest readers,

Whenever I paint, I feel as if the source of the images and ideas comes from a deep well somewhere inside of my body. The imagery emerges from this place, the source of which is unseen. Yet it is a distinct place which exists somewhere around my solar plexus. Many interesting pictures and dreams come through from my mind’s eye, which I guess most would call the third eye or pineal gland. These images are visible inside of my head. Last night, in my dream, my “regular” eyebrows had fallen out, and a new set was growing in below the original eyebrows, just below the bone! A lot of the time when I am awake or in the state between sleep and wakefulness, these images spontaneously appear, often depicting a great variety of flowers and plants. Sometimes I see moving geometric shapes or other visions. The photos from this post are from my own garden.

DSCN6202

In general, it seems that people consider the Earth or natural world to be part of the lower realms. I personally feel and know that the human connection to Gaia or Mother Earth is as crucially important and spiritually significant as our connection to the cosmos, sky, sun, soul, and higher self. The physical body is also part of this equation. I believe that there is a clear reason why the Judeo-Christian religious system has squelched the feminine out of its belief system.  The body, the Earth, emotions, sexuality – all of these aspects of being seemed to have been consistently problematic for the establishment of religious power and dogma. The feminine aspects of love, receptivity, emotion, physical pleasure each embody an important measure of human creativity and sovereignty. Without the feminine, the human being is weakened, disconnected from a huge part of self as well as from the consciousness of the planet, and is essentially disempowered. This is how in our collective past we allowed ourselves to be conditioned and enter a program of fear, punishment and reward, guilt and judgment.

DSCN6207

So plants, art, images, and the physical body appear to be my personal gateway to Mother Earth and to the divine feminine. This energy connection for me is an easy one to access. It is natural and requires no effort. A lot of people communicate with their more masculine aspect through the third eye, channeling guides and other beings. Ultimately, since we are all one, there is no being separate from self. Which means that masculine and feminine aspects are also part of the unity of being of which we are all a piece.

DSCN6212

When I wish to communicate with my more masculine, cosmic aspects, I just realized that it is through writing, and more precisely, automatic writing that I can receive responses to my questions. I ask a question, then I wait for words to come, which I record, one by one. Is the source of information different than the one which delivers the images for my paintings or about healing plants? I don’t really know. Possibly yes, possibly no. I don’t think the portal for automatic writing is located in the same area of my body as the one which gives me intuitive images, which are more global or conceptual and less linear. Cultivating patience and the ability to listen seem to be necessary skills or even talents in order to better receive information from the connected self and body.

DSCN6213

More than anything, I want my DNA to be fully activated. To have that fiber optic rainbow bridge of energy and information coursing through my light body and my physical body. For my heart and emotional bodies to be clear and functioning at a high level. To remember who I am and why I am here on Earth at this time. To me, this is the image of happiness. To be a fully connected human being, operating with total alignment and full integrity.

DSCN6206

So much of my life has been spent doubting, searching, trying out different activities and skills, exploring different places. Basically trying to find bits and pieces of myself by interacting with the world. And the world, both natural and manufactured, interacts with me. This is where synchronicities come in. For example, I have been decorating my Little Free Library, which is close to being installation ready, with imagery that is meaningful to me.

dino_feather_wide

I found a video one day about feathers being visual triggers for DNA activation and awakening to a higher level of consciousness. The color of the feather affects the symbolic meaning of the encounter. And so I began to paint gray, black, and white feathers on the side panels of the library. And on the back, a pair of Eastern bluebirds and a black and white magpie. As I was driving my car yesterday, I happened to be behind an older model Lincoln Towncar. An image of drifting white cutout feathers, just like on my library side panels, was stuck on the rear window of the vehicle. Backwards, I deciphered the word dream at the bottom of the decal. And the license number of the car was RAA. (Ra being the Egyptian god embodying the Law of One, unity consciousness, and ascension.)

EasternBluebird-pair

The physical realm, our bodies, and nature are powerful communicators, if we pay attention to details. Just this past week, I have been visited by a beautiful snapping turtle, who bears great wisdom about patience, leaving behind the old, and beginning new chapters in my life. Yesterday, I saw a magnificent red-tailed hawk, much larger than any I have ever seen, soaring above the lake where I walk my dog. The hawk teaches how to see the bigger picture, to hone in and focus on solutions given by source rather than waste energy chasing after ways to control outcomes. These animals are great gifts.

DSCN6190

I know that it is from a place of fear that I wish to control my life, and letting go of that control all while embracing insight, intuition, and wisdom from the natural world and from spirit is the path that brings ease, abundance, beauty, and joy. Having spent many years working through fear, pain, suffering, lack, worry, and stress, I am ready to create something different for my life. So grateful am I to the animals, to the imagery of plants and the information and wisdom that comes in me and through me from so many lifetimes of experience.

DSCN6209

All human beings were made to be connected to Earth and sky, like the beautiful trees that grace our planet. We are moving trees, living libraries. All of us connected to one another, to the planet, and beyond. All of our questions and yearnings are heard. Why is it so hard to let go of the familiar system, even if it keeps us in pain, lonely, and separated from all that is? This is the big challenge for all of us. The time to remember has come. It is a joyful time. At last, we will be able to sit back, relax, love ourselves, and enjoy our lives as we help one another and work together to create harmony within ourselves and within our communities once again.

Intuitive skin care with weeds and herbs

Dearest readers,

I recently joined an on-line class called Awakening to Remember on Lisa Transcendence Brown’s site. Her insights are amazing, and the insight that mastery, self-love, health, and emotional balance are gained by remembering who we are as sovereign and powerful beings resonates with great truth for me.

lisa t brown lisa

Remembering means allowing all relevant parallel timelines (what are most often called past or future lives) to resurface so that all unfinished business, separation from the higher self, and emotional pain, fear, or discomfort be resolved in love. It also means acknowledging that the knowledge and information gleaned through hundreds or thousands of lifetimes of experience is still stored in our DNA, accessible through our intuition, heart, and body.

Ta-Prohm-Siem-Reap-Province-Cambodia-940x626

Our cellular structure does have memory, and we are all able to access what is needed in the present without necessarily having to go to school or receive specialized training. Dr. Sebi, a naturopath, never received any formal training, yet through diet, fasting, and supplements, he claimed to heal deadly diseases and disorders. Basically, by restoring the body to balance, the body heals itself. Dr. Sebi said that plants which have never been hybridized contain the essential minerals the body needs for energetic balance. He called these plants “electric foods”.

Sebi vegetables

Weeds and certain herbs are probably the only plants we consume which have never been intentionally hybridized by humans. Because humanity has been farming for so many thousands of years, it would be difficult if not impossible to find a fruit or vegetable that is not a hybrid of some kind.

While I am not seeking to heal anyone other than myself at this point in time, I am very much interested in recovering my knowledge of plants and herbs through intuitive insight. When I look into my mind’s eye, more often than not, I see flowers or green plants. This inner vision indicates to me that I have a long and intimate connection with the botanical world. I believe that the more I ask myself specific questions, the more information will surface.

Couperose basil-bsp

One question that I recently asked myself:

  • How can I heal the rosacea-like capillaries that appeared on my cheeks several years ago?

The answer that came to me is this:

  • Finely chop fresh basil leaves
  • Mix the chopped leaves in plain yoghurt
  • Add lemon juice to this mixture
  • Apply to affected areas

basil with lemon

I found a web page with natural remedies for facial treatments broken capillaries/couperosis. This article indicates four different home remedies respectively using aloe vera, parsley, sage, and green tomatoes.

green tomatoes

I decided to compare the nutrition profiles of these various recipes/ingredients to my intuitive recipe to see how they match up. On comparison, it appears that my intuitive recipe contains several of the vitamins and minerals that these home remedies also include B vitamins, vitamins C and K, potassium, and various antioxidants. I am planning on trying my own recipe as well as the those found in the referenced article and see what results I experience. I will post a follow-up in a few weeks.

aloe vera

  • Basil is an excellent source of vitamin K and manganese; a very good source of copper, vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids such as beta-carotene), and vitamin C; and a good source of calcium, iron, folate, magnesium andomega-3 fatty acids. A quarter cup of lemon juice contains 31 percent of the daily recommended intake of vitamin C and 3 percent of folate and 2 percent of potassium. Yoghurt, in addition to probiotics, contains calcium, potassium, and magnesium.

plain-yogurt

  • Aloe Vera contains many vitamins including A, C, E, folic acid, choline, B1, B2, B3 (niacin), B6. Aloe Vera is also one of the few plants that contains vitamin B12. Some of the 20 minerals found in Aloe vera include: calcium, magnesium, zinc, chromium, selenium, sodium, iron, potassium, copper, manganese.

parsley

  • Parsley is an excellent of vitamin K and vitamin C as well as a good source of vitamin A, folate and iron. Parsley’s volatile oil components include myristicin, limonene, eugenol and alpha-thujene. Its flavonoids include apiin, apigenin, crisoeriol and luteolin.

Sage

  • Sage is also an excellent source of fiber, vitamin A, folate, calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, and B vitamins such as folic acid, thiamin, pyridoxine, and riboflavin in much higher doses than the recommended daily requirements, plus healthy amounts of vitamin C, vitamin E, thiamin, and copper.
  • A large green tomato contains 43 milligrams of vitamin C, providing half the daily requirement for men and nearly 60 percent for women. Green tomatoes also are rich in Vitamin K, B-Complex, protein, fiber, and Tomatine
Green tomatoes are equally rich in antioxidants and B vitamins and may even help fight cancer.

While herbs, fruits, and vegetables are full of phytonutrients and minerals derived from the Earth and nourished by the sun, it is important to consider where and how plants are grown, and by whom. The healing properties of plants are  increased when grown in a loving, high frequency environment.Horseweed-III.jpg

What we consider to be weeds are some of the most nutritious and healing plants on Earth. Canadian horseweed is a common plant found growing between sidewalk cracks where I live. It is mainly known for its astringent properties. Plantains are excellent for healing surface wounds to the skin. Stinging nettle, paradoxically, can be used to treat eczema, acne, and other skin blemishes, and it is also a very good tonic for hair and dandruff treatment.

The next time you think you only want a smooth, velvety lawn, think again! You might have an entire pharmacy and a wide selection of beauty spa treatments growing in your back yard.

Intuition and healing plants

pin-bark oral-health-lips

Dearest readers,

It is not yet universally accepted that almost all humans on Earth have lived many lifetimes, not always on this planet. Many religions do accept this principle, and I feel that humans would have more peace of mind if this reality of the immortality of the soul became more widespread outside of religious belief. It would explain many mysteries. Because there is no time in higher dimensions, past, present, future “incarnation” memories remain imprinted in our DNA. We all have access intuitively to all information that we have experienced in any incarnation.

shamanic healing

For those of us who have been shamans, healers, hunters, people or beings who were intimate with nature, plant life, healing, and other dimensions during timelines which are outside of our current experience, we can delve into our memories and bring up invaluable information about healing.

Native-American-Known-as-Shields-Who-Served-as-a-Healer-or-Medicine-Man-Crow-Creek-Reservation-courtesy-Blue-Cloud-Abbey-Native-American-Photograph-Collection

It is a simple process, and with the resource of the internet at hand, we can check our intuitions against scientific and medical research as well as the knowledge of botanists and herbalists world-wide. It is possible that your intuitions may reveal information of which current humans are not aware.

botanicals

When I look inward and ask questions about “past” lives or “future” incarnations, I see many experiences as a Native American healer/shaman, in ancient Mexico, China, Mongolia, as well as in North America as a plant scientist 500 years from now. Sometimes I feel dubious about these visions, but the more I learn about reality and consciousness, the more I realize that humanity has not been told a shred of truth about our bodies, our minds, our hearts, our true abilities, our DNA, our history, current events, and our place in the universe.

ancient chinese healer

Recently, I was experiencing intense nerve pain in my teeth on the right side of my face, which intermittently was radiating throughout my jaw. Since I don’t like to take pharmaceutical medications or pain killers, I decided to ask myself what natural substance I could take to relieve dental pain. After I asked myself the question, I sat quietly and waited for an answer. The answer came in the form of an image. A close-up image of the bark of a pine tree.

pine bark

I looked online to see if there was any information about pine bark to alleviate tooth/nerve pain. And, voilà, there I found that French maritime pine bark extract and its chemical component pycnogenol, while used for a variety of purposes (clarity of mind, heart health, circulatory issues) is also similar to aspirin without the negative side-effects on the liver and stomach. I also found a fascinating article about pine bark extract and how it can protect and enhance the life of dentine, the fleshy substance between the tooth enamel and root of the tooth. In this study, extracts from the Chinese red pine, pinus massoniana were used:

Natural News) Good news for the 80 percent of us who have resin tooth fillings: a new extract can delay our dentist trips by years. Pine tree bark extract is shown to alter the chemical structure of our teeth, strengthening them, and allowing our fillings to bind to them better. This is achieved due to the compounds in the extract that strengthen dentine, the tissue layer beneath the enamel of the teeth.

Dr. Guido Pauli of the University of Illinois at Chicago says the “weak link in the chain of bonding is the interface between the resin and the dentine. We have clear evidence that our intervention materials change this interface much to the better.” Dr. Pauli is referring to his recent tests that suggest the tree bark extracts can strengthen dentine by as much as ten times. Considering the current lifespan of a resin tooth filling, these new findings suggest a ten-year extension.

Charentes Maritimes

How did my inner self/intuition know about the wonders of pine bark? I believe the image I saw, which was a close-up of the bark was quite accurate. It did not show me the entire tree – just the bark. Which signifies that my intuition was quite clear in its intention of what it was attempting to show me. The next time you have an issue with your body or health, try this out to see if you possess intuitive knowledge or ancient experience with plants. You may or may not, depending on your soul experience in various incarnations.

Buddha log

If you feel that you are very close to nature and drawn to plants and gardening, and if you are interested in health and healing, there is a chance that this knowledge is lying dormant in your DNA. Ask yourself simple, pointed questions. Wait for the answers. They may come in different forms, depending on how your intuition works. There are many ways to access intuition. It can be through sound, words, automatic writing, images, short “video” like sequences, hearing a song or conversation, seeing printed materials, online videos or articles, or synchronistic events. Practice using your intuition to know yourself better and to hone your talents. It is a lot of fun, and you can use your age-old abilities to help others too!

Thinking in pictures: the original human language

little boy with puppy

Dearest readers,

At heart, I believe all humans feel as if our current reality does not reflect the way we are meant to live. We try so hard to remember who we are. We sense that we are connected to Earth and that our origins and history are not aligned with what we are taught at school, at home, in religious institutions. Our languages are imprecise, and no one seems to understand our true intentions. We feel lonely and disconnected from one another. We live inside our heads and although we are emotional beings, we don’t know what to do with our hearts.

puppy

Yesterday, I was out walking with my son and an artist friend, Diana. We came across a mom and her young son, who was walking an adorable 2 month old floppy black and white puppy on a blue leash. Everyone, including us, who saw the puppy just about melted with joy, approaching the group without hesitation to lavish the puppy with love. It is instinctive for humans to share love and to connect with others, but we cannot do this freely with other human beings, except perhaps with newborn infants. And even then, there are so many rules and boundaries, we know we must be very careful in how we share our love and light. And so we hold our feelings within. Animals allow us to express the instinctive loving nature that is our birthright as humans. Without animals, we would be even sicker and more out of balance than we are today.

aptopix-campaign-2016-trump

How does the expression of emotion and language connect? I believe that humans are telepathic and empathic by nature. Some call our original language telempathy. Depending on our individual talents and proclivities, we all connect intuitively in different ways. Some of us are able to sense emotions in others. Some of us, when we tune into the energy of other humans, animal beings, and plants hear sound or voices. Yet others are more visual, while some may tune into odors, colors, or sound as patterns – much like geometric forms or mathematical formulas.

crop circle 2013 wiltshire UK July

Everything is energy, and human beings communicate by sensing energy in different ways. The way our cultural or taught languages work is by creating patterns of sound and rhythm. We learn that a specific sound and corresponding written symbol represent a thing, a concept, a feeling, or a place. Collectively, as a culture, we create agreements that each sound pattern represents something that we all agree upon so that we can understand one another. But this is not the original human way of communicating. Our heart or light languages have been silenced in favor of these collective cultural agreements. In fact, all human beings, all animals, and all plants can communicate easily and effectively, regardless of nationality or place of birth.

light language

Celebrated author, animal behavioral expert Temple Grandin believes that animals think in pictures and that we can instinctively communicate with them by visualizing  and sensing what images they project through their own energetic field and consciousness. Conceptual thinking is non-linear, and humans as well as the natural world communicates in a non-linear manner. Images and feelings originate from different places in our consciousness. What we think of generally as the mind or linear thought could be equated with only a small part of our consciousness. The lower, linear, rational mind that creates what we know and what we generally use as language represents only a very small part of our mind. The higher mind is connected to the heart.

Light language is apparently an intuitive form of language that all human beings once shared and understood. It is a combination of hand gestures and sounds. It could be equated to what some Christians call “speaking in tongues”.  Many early languages were not codified or written. I have seen non-linear language in the form of mandalas and extraterrestrial languages encoded in circular form.

The conceptual nature of language outside of time and space where there is no past, present, or future means that the language or means of communication of intent is always in the moment. Linear language is a lower level of communication, because time flows in a linear manner. Intuitive language and living on a higher frequency will bring humanity back to our original state, where our instinct to live from the heart, in the now are restored. When we quiet our minds and sit with ourselves, letting go of all of the “knowledge” that we are been taught and conditioned to believe as reality, we can begin to remember who we are, where we are from, and how we can love self and others once again. This pure form of communication with all beings is innate to being human. All we need to do is remember.

Daimons and demons: mediators between the earthly and the divine

Hello dear readers,

In the ancient world, people actively maintained relationships with ancestors, animal spirits, and cosmic entities. The human imagination played an active role in communicating with the natural world. At some point, humanity was diverted from our connection to nature. I believe that when Christianity was established as a religion, in a diversion from the original teachings of Jesus, the church as well as certain political and economic forces made a concerted effort to demonize nature, the feminine, and humanity’s connection to our personal higher self.

Shamanistic healer and psychotherapist Dr. Steven Farmer explains that the daimon, a sort of genius and animal spirit that was a revered protector in many societies around the world, was transformed into a feared “demon”. The natural world and all that was earthly or below ground was transformed into a shadow arena, relegated and downgraded to being the realm of only dark energies: demons and the devil.

Suddenly only the cosmic arena, the male pole of spirituality, was considered a source of good, light, and salvation. Thus, heaven became relegated to the sky. The spiritual became distant and separate from our bodies and the world we live in every day. And nature, women, the feminine, the animal and plant kingdom and those who were versed in the healing arts of plants, animals, and the imagination became evil and were feared.

Women, who had once been the highest priestesses and sources of great wisdom were suddenly considered inferior, with smaller brains and lesser abilities than men. Nature and the bowels of the earth became the domain of hell, torture, dreaded punishments. Sexuality and the body, which came from the Earth, were included in this litany of evil. Man and woman were officially divorced from their own bodies, their own intuition, direct connection to the personal higher self, and from a consciously loving and connected relationship with our planet and with nature.

In fact, the daimon (Greek: in-dwelling spirit), of which spiritual writer, psychotherapist, and historian James Hillman speaks in his wonderful book, The Soul’s Code: In Search of Character and Calling, is the voice of our higher self. As we live in our temporal earthly bodies on this planet, we are always, if we so choose, connected to our higher self through our intuition and our imagination. The pineal gland in the brain, also known as the third eye, is the gateway to our higher self. Images of the pineal are ever-present in ancient art, architecture, and sculpture. The winged snake symbolism refers to the connection of the earthly to the cosmic realms. Mystics believe we all have many spirit guides, ancestors, and other wise and benevolent sources of energy who accompany us along our path. Because we are born onto this planet with free will, they will not interfere with our lives unless we call upon them for help.

Like the daimon, Earth herself is alive and seeks to communicate with us. Shamanic wisdom teaches that there are three worlds: the lower world, which is located inside the earth – under the ground; the middle world, which is where we live; and the upper world, which would be the cosmos or heavenly domain. The shaman is trained to navigate all of these worlds. He or she has special guides or helpers which are often in the form of animals. These spirit or power animals would have been called daimons (Greece) or geniuses (Rome) in the ancient world.

By grounding ourselves in our bodies and connecting to our planet Earth, it becomes easy to recognize that all of creation is one family. When we become aware that the lower realms are just as sacred as the middle and higher realms, we gain increased wisdom and balance. Our current society is in chaos. For too long certain factions in our society have suppressed necessary knowledge about ourselves and our reality from us.

The human being is a very powerful creator. Once we reopen our hearts, imaginations, and balance our minds, bodies, souls, and spirits, we will intuitively  embrace and revere the feminine once again. We will understand that the sacred feminine is equally important to the sacred masculine, and humanity will become more cooperative and compassionate. It is my hope that by restoring credibility to intuition, emotion, and to the feminine, our health will improve, and our societies will become more peaceful.

The feminine point of view is all encompassing, nurturing, and intuitive. The female brain uses both lobes and makes connections between apparently unrelated ideas, thoughts, feelings. The creative conceptual mind is necessary for the advancement of technology, social structure, and for the health of our planet. Knowing that all people, plants, animals, and the planet herself are interdependent is so important. People who are religious often talk about going to heaven. Do they know that home is inside of each of us? We are here on Earth to learn to love self and one another. This is true purpose of life: love and consciousness. Our insight is a dear friend, not a demon of whom we should be afraid. By demonizing our inner wisdom and our higher self, we are cut off from our own power and our own ability to heal our own bodies, hearts, and spirits.

I think it’s time to rehabilitate the daimon and take back our power to see within and beyond the veil.

Plants  are our silent partners. We eat them. We put them in pots on our windowsills. A few amongst us talk to them, commune with them.

Plants are multi-sensory beings whose lives are much more complex than we imagine. Many people love to think of them as decorative accessories rather than living conscious entities with social networks. Plants are not passive creatures, and even though they are mostly rooted into the Earth or onto a host of some kind, they move, communicate, strategize, and even assassinate four legged mammals on occasion.

Because they cannot move as quickly as we can, our leafy companions have devised a myriad of survival tactics to outwit those who are intent on consuming them or otherwise destroying them. We have so much to learn from plants, and they have much to teach us. Through our DNA, we can access a multidimensional history of experiences through countless lifetimes in which we have interacted with plants.

Perhaps you were a shaman, healer, or midwife in a past incarnation. All of those memories are recorded in your DNA and in the planet. Through intuition, you can dialogue with yourself, those memories, and access an infinite library of information about the history of humanity and our relationship with plants and other beings.

Even without considering multiple incarnations, as human beings become increasingly multidimensional, we will begin to more easily access our higher self and the vast web of relationship with other beings of all types. As this sensitivity and empathy towards life grows, we will find ourselves easily communicating intuitively with flora and fauna. Delving below the superficial appearances of what we have thought of as familiar yet silent beings, we are in for  many surprises.

Intuition

Intuition instructs us as we lean inwards, listen, and look. In the eye of the mind and heart emerge images, sounds, sensations, experiences. These are the voices of expansion and true knowledge. The cooperative experience is one that is tingling with life, vibrating with energy. The voices of pebbles and weeds awaken from dry definition as inanimate, and the quiet intuitive hears the remarkable stories that emerge from our own cellular structure and from the long ignored hum of our planet’s diverse and misunderstood inhabitants.
